Our Mission

Neighbors helping neighbors — the Eagle Pass way.

We believe no family in our community should choose between a meal and a medical bill, between school supplies and rent, between dignity and survival.

Family Assistance Center Inc was founded in 2024 by Eagle Pass residents who saw a need to expand and coordinate the network of support available to local families. We work in partnership with faith communities, schools, and local businesses to make certain that help is accessible, respectful, and meaningful.

Our work is rooted in three commitments: access — services that are easy to find and easy to receive; dignity — every family treated as the strength of our community, not as a number; and durability — programs designed to lift families forward, not just through today.

Our Story & Leadership

Family Assistance Center serving the Eagle Pass community
Serving Eagle Pass, Texas
How We Began

Founded in 2024 by neighbors, for neighbors.

Family Assistance Center Inc was incorporated in 2024 by a small group of Eagle Pass residents who shared a single conviction: the families of this city deserve a coordinated, dignified, and accessible source of help — close to home, in their language, on their schedule.

Eagle Pass has never lacked generosity. What we saw missing was a focused nonprofit that could bring food pantry distribution, emergency assistance, and family outreach under one roof — and stand publicly accountable for the work.

So we built one. We filed for 501(c)(3) status. We assembled a board of community members. We opened our doors in coordination with community partners and faith networks. And we opened with one promise: honesty about what we are, and ambition about what we will become.

Why We Exist

"Eagle Pass takes care of its own. Our job is to make that care easier to find, easier to give, and easier to count on — every season, every year, every family."

Volunteers are the heart of every food bank, every drive, every outreach event. There is a role for you here — whatever your schedule, language, or experience.

Why Volunteer

The most renewable resource in Eagle Pass is its neighbors.

Every box of groceries we hand out is touched by 6–8 volunteer hands before it reaches a family's table. Every emergency call we answer goes through someone who chose, today, to show up for someone they may never meet.

Volunteering with us is a chance to invest in your own community, to model service for the next generation, and — quietly, importantly — to be reminded how much good there still is in this city.

Flexible Hours

Weekday mornings, evenings, or one Saturday a month — there is a shift that fits your life.

Bilingual Welcome

Partner With Us

Eagle Pass is built by partnerships.

Local businesses, faith communities, school districts, and civic institutions — every one of them makes our work possible. Here is how your organization can stand alongside ours.

Funding Policy

We Do Not Accept Monetary Donations

Family Assistance Center Inc. is privately funded and does not solicit, accept, or process monetary donations of any kind. Our partnership program is exclusively for organizations contributing time, services, in-kind goods, or community resources.

Why Partner

The most efficient form of community support is a local one.

When your organization partners with Family Assistance Center, every contribution and every hour stays in Eagle Pass — going directly to a family in this city, this week. There is no national overhead, no diverted administrative percentage, no out-of-state pipeline.

Beyond impact, partnership signals something to your customers, employees, and members: that you invest in the community that built you.

Visible Impact

Quarterly partner reports with verifiable numbers — meals, families, hours.

Local Roots

Every contribution stays in Eagle Pass. Every program serves a neighbor.
